Restless Legs, Itching, Tingling & Rashes

My legs itch like crazy when I go to bed, regardless of how much moisturizer I put on them? Is there a good product you could recommend?

This link will take you to the Skin Deep website where you'll be able to search for alternative products that don't have the same ingredients in them as the one you're using right now.

You could also try giving your bedding an extra rinse with half a cup of vinegar. The vinegar encourages the fibers to release the detergent, leaving less in the bedding to cause irritation. Don't worry the vinegar smell won't linger.

I've come home from a camping trip with the kids because they broke out in really nasty rashes. Could you tell me what I did wrong so that I don't do it again?

I suspect you applied both sunscreen and mosquito repellent and then left them on over night. Combining the two often provokes a rash, and leaving them on over night can make the rash worse. It can be very difficult to wash kids at a camp site, but next time I'd try to get the products off before you tuck the kids into bed

Does it matter if I take a bath in the morning or in the evening? My friend's telling me that I should wait until morning - is that right?

If you're using soap, or shampoo you should wait until morning. The skin goes inito it's most vulnerable period during the early part of the night. Soaps and shampoos increase that vulnerability and that means that anything that comes into contact with your skin will have a better chance of penetrating it.

Why does my psoriasis clear up when I'm away from home and return when I do?

Home and away offer two very different environments - different electromagnetic field frequencies, different wireless signals, different chemicals and residues, different daily structure etc. Next time you're away look at how factors in your immediate surroundings differ. I've attached a chart to guide you through your tracking.

I'm taking seizure medications for my restless legs and wondering if maybe there's something I don't know that could help.

You're interfering with your brain chemistry without first addressing the environment in which the symptoms occur. Often restless legs are a reaction to either wireless signals or strong electromagnetic fields - sometimes a combination. I'd get the bedroom checked for both and reduce them by turning off electrical equipment and possibly shielding if the sources belong to a neighbour.

What's Your Question?

These Q&A summaries should give you an idea of the types of situations that provoke symptoms, and ways of resolving them. But they do not take the place of medical advice and aren't intended to solve your problem. Please ask your own question in an email.
