When you can't sleep the first place you check should be your bedroom. But what do you look for? Where do you look for it? And what do you do when you find it? This workshop explores the simple modifications we can make to transform the bedroom into a room where sleep comes easily.

'Safe Luxurious Bedrooms ... and Very Little Sleep'

Insomnia takes many forms and contributes to ill-health. That ill-health may express itself in many ways - from moodiness and weight gain, to memory issues and concentration difficulties. This presentation looks at the differences between the 'sleep well, feel well' conditions offered by mountain and lakeside resorts, and the 'sleep bad, feel bad' conditions offered by the insomniac's bedroom.

Join me in a light-hearted look at creating the worst possible bedroom - one to which unwanted quests will never return. As we fill the virtual bedroom with sources of noise, microwaves, light, electromagnetic fields, chemicals and air pollutants, we'll discuss their impact on sleep and health.

Angela Hobbs is a building biologist who specializes in identifying and remediating the location-specific factors that contribute to sleep and health issues. For 10 years she has been sharing her knowledge through corporate and private workshops, consultations and coaching.

She's lived and worked in Tanzania, Germany, Sweden, England, Quebec, The High Arctic, Ontario, Alberta, Kansas and Maine, leaving her with a personal experienice of a wide range of living and working environments.

She is the author of several books and workbook-based programs including 'Sleep-Powered Wellness', 'The Sick House Survival Guide', and 'The Guided Journey' Workbook series.
